The Car Seat Strap stays on 24 hours per day.
INSTALLING THE CAR SEAT STRAP
Make sure there is no baby in the car seat before installing the Car Seat Strap!
- Fully extend the arm and hood of the car seat.
- Turn the car seat up-side-down on a sturdy surface.
- Hold the Car Seat Strap harness up-side-down by the Base Strap and the Hood Strap.
- Fit the Base Strap over the foot of the base and pull the Hood Strap around the front of the car seat hood. Center the O-ring with the front of car seat, remove any twists in straps, push Base Strap up tightly without interfering with car seat base lock.
- Position the car seat right side up and pull the elastic Cover over the entire arm of the car seat.
- Pull the Velcro straps through the slits in the Cover and fasten.
- Clip the adjustable end of the Shoulder Strap (right-side-up) through the Cover and into the top of O-ring on the Hood Strap, closest to the car seat arm.
- Clip the non-adjustable end of the Shoulder Strap into the top of O-ring on the Base Strap.
CARRYING THE CAR SEAT
- With the Car Seat Strap properly installed, position the Shoulder Strap over your head so that the car seat is being carried on the opposite side of your body.
- Tuck the Shoulder Strap into the Shoulder Strap Pocket when it is not being used.
- The car seat can still be carried without the Strap via the opening at the handle.
USING IN A VEHICLE
You do not have to remove the Car Seat Strap for vehicle use. Before locking your car seat into the base, simply unhook the bottom end of the shoulder strap and tuck the shoulder strap in the shoulder strap holder on top of the hood cover. When you are ready to take the car seat back out, just hook the shoulder strap back onto the harness after unlocking the car seat from the base.
